RE: [RC] [RC] Greenbrier River Trail, WV - Kelly Lane

Hi Jonni,

We have a vacation cabin adjacent to the trail but have yet to ride the horses up there. However, I have mountain biked it numerous times from the Alderson/Lewisburg point for 12 miles up and the 12 back. It's 77 miles long and beautiful! I am salivating at the chance to ride the horses there and will do so this spring. The trail is very wide, follows the River closely in many places, and is wide enough for cars. It is beautifully maintained and does have lots of rocks/gravel, but not boulders and some bridge crossings.

Wish I could tell you more about the trail past the point of where I've been. There is an outfitter that takes people down/up it and I think they have pics on their website.

Have a great time!

Found this link. Anyone ever ridden this trail? I understand it is also "carriage" friendly for those that also drive their horses. Any info?
