Re: [RC] O2/Temps/Breatheability - Truman Prevatt

Not wanting to be difficult, but I will anyway. The difference between maketing and science theories put forth in science are repeatable in independent experiments by independent researchers and normally reported in some sort of peer review publications. In marketing these claims are normally reported by researchers either funded by the company or by the company itself.  Scientific endevor is to try to uncover "truth" about our physical world - marketing is to sell product. There is nothing worng with selling product or marketing - but marketing should not be sold as rock solid science.

If you have such peer reviewed independent verifications of your claims - I'm all ears.  Jonni also has a very good question.

I'm not saying you are wrong or right - but marketing should not be confused with independently validated scientific through carefully designed and executed experiments on a sufficiently large random sample to make the results statistically valid.

Regards,
Truman

Again, we state that our pad lowers the surface temperature of
the horse by as much as 7 degrees. It was tested by using thermocouplers (temperature sensors). This is in addition to any evaporative cooling. We have stated this on our web site for the last 2 years. If you go there you can read what we say. We believe our pad will always be as much as 7 degrees cooler than
any other pad. This is done by the use of phase change material.
The blood flow increases are accomplished by another smart textile, Holofiber. The physiology of mammals are very similar.
That is why we make the claim regarding blood flow issues. Tests done on horses can be expected to have similar results as those done on humans. Of course any testing we do may have you saying that it is biased. We more than willing to have our pad tested against any other by an independent testing agency sponsored by a non biased third party.
