Body heat. Works great. If you're married, try to bring your husband
along. If not, get married and try to bring your husband along. ;-)

Barring that, go to a sporting goods shop and get a very good sleeping
bag rated for very cold weather. Get one that's better than what you
think you'll need. Cause you can always unzip it or use it as a
blanket, but harder to warm up a sleeping bag that isn't rated for the
weather.

Well  I don't have  a generator or a LQ trailer.   I've been camping
in my Ford conversion van.  It's a pleasure to drive and handles the
towing really well and it's  a lot more comfortable than a tent,  but
I about froze to death at each of the two rides I've done recently. 
Is there a safe method for heating such a small space?
