Re: [RC] Chain Link for Horse Fence - Maryanne Stroud GabbaniNot much salt air in Cairo either, and I've had chain link fence around my horses for the past two years with no problems either. Mine is 2 meters tall and set in brick to keep my dogs in and the others out. The horses couldn't care less. The divisions between paddocks are iron pipe and other than horses chipping paint off, they cause no problems either. When my guys were in their previous stable there was a paddock made of casuarina wood that was held together by nylon rope. Morad tried everything to keep the paddock together but no amount of hammers and nails worked. Finally he just tied the posts together and the horses spend their days untying it. I've driven in to see a stallion standing in the wreckage of the paddock just watching life go by. They never go anywhere once it's dismantled...almost as if they are waiting for someone to come put it back together again. The new thing in horse toys....
