[RC] EPM - Paul Bendzunas

We had a rescue horse that tested pos for EPM. She would choke, stumble and her hair would not shed (she looked like a bison, had to clip her). The spinal tap would have cost us $600 and the treatment $500 so we treated her. The vet explained that the there are 5 stages of severity of EPM and the treatment would generally knock it back one stage. Our mare was stage 2 so she had a good recovery, she was not 100% but was sound. She also had a lot of issues of rearing, refusing, trailering not to mention such bad feet it took 6 months to get a normal looking hoof. A lot of slow patient work got her through it and we finally placed her with a family as a good trail horse.
