My gelding fractured his splint bone the end of
March. He was scheduled for surgery and by the time the vet was going to do the
surgery to remove the broken piece of bone, it started healing on it's own, so
he felt it was better not to do the surgery and risk infection, but let it heal
on it's own. He has an ugly bump now, but is 100% sound.
