Re: [RC] HELP: New pain on the sides of knee - Lynne GlazerForget the Vitamin I, Sheri, you need a permanent biomechanical solution! You could be right, T, but I'm going to guess another simple and easily overlooked reason. Most people that have ridden in a set of EZ Rides for a while have compressed the thick neoprene footbed into a shape that matches their unique pressures from foot pronation, hip angles, etc.. When there is a deviance from just compressing it flatter (flatter means stirrup length ought to be lengthened for a while), I've most often seen a ramp, from the outside's low point to the inside's original height. From the ground, from the rear, it looks like a slice of pie. That's what puts the unusual pressure on the knees, my $.02. It might only be on one side. So if you have Tevis in your almost immediate future, I'd take the neoprene pads out of the old stirrups, or shorten the duration of your training rides to allow your body to adapt. It may be you need to shorten or lengthen your leathers with the Ez rides. Maybe they just don't work for you.
