I guess I can't dispute it since I've yet to see a Spanish Mustang period. >g< If you're thinking other breeds due to your size, Lawton Johnston had a lot of success crossing Standardbreds with Arabs. His mare Pow Wow is still competing I believe. I think once you get outside the Arab breed it becomes a matter of finding the right individual within whatever breed to do the job...then the degree of success seems to be dependent on the determination of the rider to make it work out.
