[RC] Sasser Worm and variants - John Teeter

Beware of opening attachments of any sort without knowing/expecting
them. Ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx should never carry attachments with it
without prior notification. Even if you THINK it came from ridecamp,
or me or your horse, ask first if you don't expect an attachment. Only
after you know it's what it is should you open it from within your
mail reader (or anything else really).

word is from this article that a little contest is going on between 4
groups of writers - If you can quarantine all attachments (and
embedded objects) through your client mail reader, you might want to.

but don't open any attachments from ridecamp anyway....

This word of warning after poor Jean opened an attachment this morning
from a spoofed From: field being ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx :(

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is
noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience,
which is the bitterest.
