Re: [RC] getting dumped - Paddi

oh Lord won't you give me a horse that won't buck
I'm tired of trying to land standing up
Spent most of my life wiping
dirt off my butt
oh lord won't you give me a horse that won't buck

I love my new torsion saddle. My young guy gave me a run for my money today and I stayed glued to it.
The above is a verse from a ridecamp sing....lol
I had a mare that was so fast and nasty I used to throw myself on the ground in front of her and ask if she was happy. I think she dumped me at least once or twice for every ride for at least 3 months. Yes I still have her and she is great. We have miles miles miles together.
She had issues when I got her but she respects me now.
I think she finally realized I was more stubborn then her
Good Luck

Subject: [RC] getting dumped

Hello, rookie here... been lurking for a couple of weeks, but need some advice please. Spring fever hitting my arab hard and - colliewobblers? seem to be everywhere. I've been dumped 3 times in 3 weeks out on the trail. My butt is getting very sore - and I am getting very nervous.  I've been doing all the "right" things  - pushing him thru his spooks, etc and it works really well, but then we'll be walking along, all relaxed and BAM I end up on the the ground. I have been using my new Ansur treeless dressage saddle for trail riding, but it doesn't have much support for sudden changes of direction. I've never come off him before, so I have to admit I'm thinking it's the saddle.  At this point I'm not even sure we'll go thru w/our rookie ride coming up May 1. There are so many brands of saddles out there..is there any consensus on which provides the most security? My horse prefers the treeless saddles...

Thanks for your help,

Priscilla
