So that's why the time I did Longstreets I had to walk in five miles 

from the finish line ;-).

Nope. When you did it we had camp at the bottom of the mountain. The
reason it was a *full* mile back to camp was that was the end of a mile
long slight upgrade of good dirt...and from there on it was slightly
downhill with polished dirt over worked in gravel that's slick as
glass...with curves. Would have been a nightmare with a real race in.
Might have had 68 horses that could have finished in camp, but you've got
to put up a finish line for the two that need to race.
