[RC] best way to reform a dedicated puller - Ed Kilpatrick

what the guys meant was to teach the horse to stand for anything without being tied, then they never bother to pull back because they dont feel the need to.   they didnt mean dont ever tie them.
i prefer to use rope halters on my horses.   that will put a little pressure on the poll that a nylon web halter will not.  i had an old thoroughbred mare that would pull back until she sat down.  i put a rope halter on her, tied her, when she pulled back and that rope halter kind of "dug" in,  she hopped up real quick and got some slack in that lead rope!      ed
