[RC] after gelding - Pam & Buddy's email

----- Original Message ----- >
I had my 17 month old gelded last Saturday. He was on an
antibiotic for 5 days and an anti-inflammatory for 3.
Everything was looking great until Tuesday and then he
developed some swelling. Called the vet...came and checked
him and found it was fluid. Said his body would eventually
absorb it. Appetite is fine and he has no temperature.
Seems a little sore when he is running around and playing.
Is this the norm? Had 2 guys gelded a couple of years ago
and one never had any signs of swelling or anything and the
other got quite an infection. He was put on antibiotics
after the infection was found. Any advice at all would be
geatly appreciated.

Pam
