In all the years that I have known Maggie Price (since the early 80's) she has always looks great and is the eternal LADY on trail and at checks. Respected and Loved by all that know her. I had never ridden him before. My 12 year old son and his friend were teasing me that I never looked as good as thier 'hero' Maggie (they liked her big truck, and thought she was 'cool'), so I was determined that I would try to be more lady-like on this ride, so I took my lipstick along. I touched myself up before every check and tried like heck to stay clean like Maggie always appeared! It became a big issue through the course of the ride, and everyone had to commment on my lipstick during checks. To make a long ride a short story, I was 8th and Maggie was 7th, she was about an hour ahead of me. The next morning at the awards, Wayne announced my place and said that I had never ridden the horse before and Maggie got up and said in that great southern accent "And she did it with her lipstick on!!" I will never be as pulled together and beautiful as Maggie, but it gives me something to aspire to! You're my hero, Maggie- hang in there girlfriend, and keep your lipstick on!!
