There is something called "DampRid" or something likethat , you open the canister and it absorbs moisture in enclosed spaces. You can kill mildew with diluted bleach 1-10 or less caustic but takes longer is vinegar. Air circulation and sunshine are best for mildew. That's why many barns heat and a/c their tack rooms. I keep my tack inthe house partly for that reason. Try home depot, or laundry section of grocery stores, etc. Laurie and RAscal
