I wasn't attempting to suggest a normalization of the rules world wide.

That would be as undesirable as making a rule set so tight that it did not allow for differences in the environment (terrain, humitity, etc.) of the various venues.

Rather, I was suggesting that the statistics concerning treatment and fatalities on a world-wide basis would be useful for all as we all evolve the sport forward.

In particular, we may find that France has particularly good results in these areas while we are about average. That the SouthEast has more in common with Indonesia than Montana in some areas.
