I'm not saying we're risking death just by going to a ride.  I *am* saying
that Howard is right in that we shouldn't pussyfoot around and pretend
that
endurance is not a stressful event, and that 99% of the time, metabolic
trouble occurring at a ride is occurring *because* that horse is at a
ride.

Susan, I don't think any of us are pussyfooting around the stresses of a
ride.  But it is still ridiculous to assume that every horse hooked to an IV
line has a ride-related problem.  Perhaps the ride precipitated an event
that would have occurred in the near future, but maybe not today--but it is
still a stretch to state that ALL health issues that occur at rides are
caused by the ride.
