[RC] new riders, horse deaths, mandatory LD's etc. - Jonni Jewell

Unless I missed something here, I thought that the horse death issue has
been more experienced riders than rookie riders??? So requiring new riders
to do so many LD's etc. etc. is not going to fix "that" issue. Maybe it
does just seem like there are "more deaths" as our communication through the
internet has made it so much easier to 'spread the word' when one does die.
How long have ride managers been required to send in statements to AERC if a
horse dies at a ride? I am sure if you surveyed ride managers who have been
putting on rides for years and years, and asked them about horse deaths, we
would find that they have been happening, but know one knew about it. Much
easier to keep quiet before internet, cell phones at the finish lines etc.
etc.
