[RC] COPD - Lynne Tomovick

My horse was just diagnosed w/ COPD.
Any second opinions from Vets?
Experience with managing copd? in endurance?

July 28 - Moved horse to new location in eastern SD. Hot, humid, bugs ... extremely stressed horse!
~ Aug 6 - Noticed depressed horse, chalked up to new location, heat, stress
noticed some nasal mucous discharge colored & clear
Aug 10 - Cough started at beginning of ride but dissapeared once we got past the warmup
Aug 13 - Cough started at beginning of ride and go worse the more we rode
Aug 20 - Normal blood work

Vet said to give a round of 3 shots steroids. I plan to take him home, where he never exhibited a problem. Currently, he's on pasture... minimal, at a bordering facility.

Thanks,
Lynne
