[RC] catching tack - Jonni Jewell

I think that the cage type stirrups look to be something more inclined to
catch on things while riding that most tack, yet I do see a lot of them on
the trail. Anyone have problems with them?? I am looking at adding some
leather "tapadero" covers to my western stirrups I ride in, as they are
comfortable for my feet, but I like the idea of the safety of keeping my
foot from going too far into the stirrup in the case of a fall or other
accident with the horse. I have a friend who has small feet, and she just
rides in the kids safety stirrups.
