[RC] Training accident opinions please OT - Jonni Jewell

The trainer is taking money from you, for a service. If your mechanic had a
battery fall and land on his foot while working on your car, would you pay
the deductible? If you are not paying the person, then it might be
different. And as far as the "risk" of wearing glasses while riding...geez,
I have been riding in glasses since I was 9. When I buy them, I look for
styles to fit my lifestyle, which includes riding in them. I get ones that
are less likely to cut if I were to get slammed in the face by a horses
head, fall off, or other goofy things that can happen while around horses.
Some people are unable to wear contacts for different reasons, and some
(like me) can sure not see without glasses! I see no blame as to any fault
in the horse tripping, and her getting a cut. Horses are a risk. She should
know that, or get in another business. And I too, would vote to find another
trainer. She sounds like the type who might get "sue happy".
