Kaboot is 14 but I started him as a 5 year old. Ben is 21. He started endurance I believe at about 10...I'd have to ask his owner...or how's about this? "Name the ages at which they started and the number of years each horse competed of each horse you have ridden in endurance". Maybe that would give us some valuable data. Personally I think who the rider is may be the most important variable in whether the horse lasts. I went through a couple of short career horses before I found a few I could keep sound for the sport over a long term career.
