Re[2]: [RC] [RC] Fw: [AERC-Members] Horse Identification - Bill Johnson

Hello All,

Chips migrate (This means they move around). When I used to breed dogs
we placed over 75 chips, out of that 75, 25 moved from the
shoulderblade placement. One was found at the bottom of the rib cage.

Chips cost money. $15-25 if you are willing to insert them yourself, I
am sure most vets will charge a minimun of $45 plus the chip. Wouldn't
it be cheaper to freeze brand if this is really a problem? No scanner
needed either - our scanner cost $85.00
