I'm wading in with my 2 cents worth.  My best ridding buddy and I have 
identical trucks, except mine is the mid length, extended cab and hers is the 
full 8 
ft., 4 door.  Both Ford  250 Diesels.  We trailer to the mountains here in 
East Tennessee 2 or 3 times a week and take turns pulling her 3 horse, slant 
load with the cab over bed and dressing room.  Her truck is by far the more 
comfortable for the people riding in it and my truck is by far the best when 
the 
going gets narrow and the turns sharp.  I can't believe the difference those 
few 
inches make in the turning radius of the truck.  I will never buy the long 
wheel base because of where I live and the roads I tow on.  Linda Norton
