[RC] RE:Body questions - Jonni Jewell

We all know we need to drink a bunch of water and / or Gatorade type drinks,
but I always say, if you do not have to pee out on the trail, you are not
drinking enough.

I used to drink a Slim-fast type drink, or Ensure and eat a banana for
breakfast, as I was usually not real hungry, and they went down easy. We
also started to carry Ensure in the saddle bag. Lots of protein, and I
learned how to drink them warm if I have to. (yuck) Peanut butter and jelly
is easy to eat, has protein and some sugar.

I now have started drinking a Red Bull to wake me up in the AM, and my
friend always drank a bottled Starbucks Frapachino in the AM. Oh, oatmeal
always settled well for me for breakfast too.

If I drink lots and lots to prevent my heat headaches, and eat "something",
I will usually eat about anything after the ride is over. It does seem it
was the lack of fluids that made me crash the most.
