Re: [RC] what is the best dog to gueard horses? - Truman PrevattOh my goodness, with all the Southerners on this list and no one has answered it right yet:-). Angie you should be ashamed of yourself for missing this one. The answer is obvious, you want a good hound dog. Preferably a Coon Hound (Blue Tick or Black and Tan) will do nicely. The other option for those that want a larger critter is a Blood Hound. Great dog with people, but will raise hell if something is amiss around the farm.Truman Gabi (Ra'anana Farm) wrote: What is the best farm dog to guard horses against thieves at night, but friendly or at least not agressive to visitors, (many children) during the day. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
