Meet Romania Rider Radu Ciubuc

Best of luck to AERC member Radu Ciubuc, who is representing Romania in this month's FEI World Equestrian Games!

Residence: El Paso, Texas 
Horse: Khysus Mezaj, 10-year-old straight Egyptian 

Crew/Grooms: Jason Stasiuk, Hope Misner, Marcelle Hughes, Andrei Handolescu 

Trainer/Partner/Chef D’equipe: Daniela Ciubuc 

WEG Goal : To complete the event with my horse in perfect shape. 

Interesting facts: Born in Bucharest, Romania, and representing the country in endurance since 2008. First-ever rider qualified for Romania at WEG in endurance. Physician and Board-certified Geriatrician with goals to be the oldest rider qualified for WEG in the future.

Meet Ireland Rider Jane Waterman Moss

AERC Member Jane Waterman Moss will be competing for Ireland at World Equestrian Games next week with Streak Afire TTF. Good luck, Jane!

Career Highlights: 
*Finding a fabulous horse for our sport 
*Jane has 1,760 endurance and 420 limited distance miles (only three pulls over her career) 
*Basil has 1760/315 miles, all with Jane 
*They placed top ten at this January’s Goethe Gallivant 75 
*Jane and Basil were third and best condition at this April’s Witch Dance 50 
*Finding great people and organizations in the Southeast Region – SERA & SEDRA 
*Becoming a state rep. and VP for SERA 
* Enjoying multi-disciplinary horsemanship with all my horses and students

Meet Bermude Rider Marvin Brangman

Competing for BERMUDA at the World Equestrian Games is Marvin Brangman, riding MM Godiva Chokolat. Good luck, Marvin and "Dee"! 

Residence: LaGrange, Georgia 
Horse: MM Godiva Chokolat, 12-year-old 1/2 Arabian mare with 450 endurance and 50 endurance miles. "Dee" is owned by Lori Hayward Shifflett. 
Rider: Marvin is a three-year AERC member with 775 endurance and 135 LD miles 

Career highlights for this team: 
First place finish, May 18, 2018, Biltmore Challenge FEI 100 
Third place finish, March 2, 2018, Fun in the Sun 75 

From Marvin: "My team is made up of Lori Hayward Shifflett, Robert Marshall DVM, Jesse Jarrett and myself. It is truly an honor for me to represent my country, Bermuda, having its first rider ever entered in Endurance at WEG. I was thrilled to not only win at the Biltmore Challenge but to also obtain my first COC [FEI Certificate of Capability]. I’ve been in endurance for three years now and my goal is to go as far as I possibly can in this sport. I am truly grateful for my accomplishments thus far and I give complete glory to God."
