[RC] right vehicle for towing - Chipnml

From reading all the posts on this subject, it sounds like a lot depends on how in to this sport a person is, and what their future goals are.  When I bought my first 1-ton, I only had a 2-horse stock trailer, although it was a very heavy one.  But I figured I would be upgrading my trailer before my truck wore out, and didn't want to be limited in my choice by the truck I had.  13 years later I did get my 2 horse gooseneck with a big dressing room, and was very comfortable pulling it.  I'd still be using the old truck if it hadn't been totaled.  When I went to buy a replacement, I was not only thinking of safety, but what my goals are for the next few years. I would dearly love to do some rides out of my state, and once again, don't want to feel limited by the truck I'm driving.
