amen. I have had a few phone calls from outraged riders - 'what are we  
going to do about this!!??' - honestly I don't care much any more what  
FEI does. A couple years ago they held the 'world forum on endurance'  
- days and workshops and recommendations about how FEI should move  
forward. it made no difference, and they actually went in the opposite  
direction of many of the consensus opinions (e.g. more technical  
trails). I watched the FEI run Malaysia through the ringer when they  
won the bid for the WEC, most likely because some powerful lobbies  
didn't want it there. We'd be better off forming an alternate  
International organization for those that want to ride (really ride)  
internationally.
