Endurance.Net Ridecamp Archives

My seasoned horses were experts at using both canter leads.  They mostly 
learned it themselves with only a a bit of promting in the beginning.

When trail allowed we trotted, when practical we cantered.  They dropped to 
a trot as needed.  Each time they picked up a canter it was in the opposite 
lead from before.

Needless to say, these were the smart and "survivor" horses that took care 
of themselves.
