Okay...have done a couple of short rides and am moving up to my first 25 in OK.. I would like to eventually move up to the endurance levels. But now I have to worry about not getting fed, and no award when I crawl across the finish line, either!! Please..say it ain't so!!!
I donated a nice turtle award to one of the legs of the Santa Fe Trail Ride when it came thru a town next door, I was hoping to get a few brownie points ahead in the Karma scheme of things!!

I think the turtle award has such a negative connotation attached to it. We should do away with it.

Really?  Why do you think that?  What is the negative connotation that comes with the Turtle Award?  At Hog Scramble, we put a lot of effort into our Turtle Award.  Personally, I think they're better than the 1st place award.
