Sorry I was not referring to the award itself. You did an excellent job on the hog scramble and the awards. I was referring to more of the attitude of some people that you are not really an endurance rider if you keep getting the turtle award.

It was more in reference to the turtle thread.  I appreciate your efforts on the hog scramble and hope to do better next time. It is not the award itself, but the negative feeling that some people attaché to being last, instead of -Way to go you finished!

 

 Actually I would have been very happy to get the turtle award at your ride; my horse took about 3 more minutes to pulse down than I had time. L

PS dinner was excellent. I highly recommend the Hog Scramble ride, just not the humidity

Really?  Why do you think that?  What is the negative connotation that comes with the Turtle Award?  At Hog Scramble, we put a lot of effort into our Turtle Award.  Personally, I think they're better than the 1st place award.
