[RC] from a turtle's perspective - sbolinge

I remember coming into camp at 3 in the morning on my first 100. I had this image in my mind of everybody lining the finish (like at the race of champions) cheering hysterically as we crossed the finish line..of course no one was there and we had to find and wake up the vet..but having no one there took absolutely nothing away from the satisfaction of finishing...alive! The first marathon I ran I was so slow that only the timer was left...EVERYbody had already drank all the beer and gone home ;-)
