Yes, there are some endurance folks who lease horses for others to ride Tevis. But Tevis has some of the most strict vet controls available, and you will have some sort of vet check, pulse check etc. about every 10 miles. Not to mention that you are usually not "alone" on the trail, as there are 200+/- other riders out there with you. And, Tevis REQUIRES the rider to have 350 miles of distance riding experience, in rides of 50 miles or more, before they can even enter. (how many miles do you have Mike? <wink>)
