What is everyone's general rules for how long a trip has to be for you
to stop and unload your horse to stretch their legs and/or pee? Once it
passes that point, how often do you stop and unload? Any guidelines as
to where are good places for unloading?

Any haul longer than four hours. We get them off about every four
hours. They also need a chance to lower their heads and clear their
airways.

We let them graze a bit if available, as well as walking and trotting them.

Most rest areas are OK, otherwise any unpaved surface with enough room
to park will do.

We clean up any manure they drop, of course.
