Re: [RC] music - maybe not the best idea - Tiffany D'Virgilio

I have been riding with music for years! It's not like you blast it so loud you don't hear ambient noise. You can still hear everything. I ride through traffic, up in the mountains, never had a problem with hearing anything around me. Do NOT get in ear earplugs, just the regular ear sets.

I know there are people out there that may ride with music (I know there
are joggers), but if you are listening to music you may not hear the horses
coming at you up the trail, the person yelling at you about a hazard, or
the bicycle riders, mmm or bear. My personal commentary is that we have
too much noise in our lives and just quiet is a good thing. Now with that
said I certainly have used music to get a rythym with my dressage/flat
work. The best was a metronome but nah you wouldn't want to listen to that
on the trail LOLOL.
