[RC] Boots are not a "one time expense" - k s swigart

if I need to shoe, I will use boots (they are actually
?cheaper in the long run; one time expense,

Not in my experience.? Boots wear out, break parts, need replacing and
repairs...sometimes in the middle of a ride.

Don't misunderstand me.? I have used boots on different horses for different
reasons in different ways, and successfully (and sometimes not so
successfully).? I am just warning people who haven't used them that it is a
mistake to think that you are only going to have to buy them once.

I have tote boxes full of them (admittedly, I have multiple horses and have to
have them in multiple sizes), and just last weekend was canibalizing parts from
different ones that had different parts worn out.

They do wear out.? And if you use them for riding endurance on abrasive trails,
they can wear out quite quickly.
