It's normal in the SE for riders to keep their cards after the completion exam. If they are pulled the vets keep the cards but they are available after the ride.

It might not work that way in different regions but that's pretty much what we are used to in the SE. That doesn't necessary justify or not justify the response of the particular poster in question - but I expect that is what she is responding to.

As far as FEI, usually most people don't understand how it works w/ AERC until they have done it. Often an explanation is all it takes, or maybe not....
