What a nasty sickness... it's heart breaking to see your big strong  
horse look so thin and weak.  He came down with the obvious symptoms  
the day after we got back from the New Years ride. I think this  
explains his erratic heart rate during the 100 (we pulled at 50  
miles). Amazes me that he was still strong and willing on the trail  
though. a lot of heart.

Sort of changed everybody's plans for winter riding tho. Poor Kevin  
and Rusty have had to quarantine their (also sick) horses all winter :(
