Beau, my grey endurance horse, has terrible melanomas that started
growing when he was 14-15 y.o.  His dam "died of melanomas" at age
30...  she also had really bad melanomas but was still being
successfully bred until her mid 20's.

I guess there's more hope for my big, tall, ding dong bay horse then.
