Re: [RC] City Slickers - First Ride? - D'Arcy Demianoff-Thompson

What breed is your sister's horse?  No matter what the breed four years old seems a bit young to be putting through the kind of training she will need to even do a 25 mile.  With arabians their knees are not knitted shut until they are around eight years old.  Just some thoughts there.  Take care.

Question for Ridecamp:
My sister has just begun training a new 4yo endurance mare and would like to consider a slow 25 at City Slickers. How't that ride for a first ride? Footing? Are vet checks in camp or out? Is there much change in elevation.
Thanks for your opinions.
