Re: [RC] Breeders VS Rescues - Tom Sites

To me Rio looked like he all had these different body types put together into a compact perfect horse. Cash was found in the classifieds. I sold a horse that was later put into a weekly multiple sales list and bought by Winkie Mackay-Smith and in less than a year was sold overseas after his first 100. His name was Mandela, Menes/Mombasa. Winkie did good with the horse and never any word of him later on. I guess what i was trying to say is the right person can take a horse further than the average person. ts

Some of the best of all time Endurance horses to me were Rio and Cash and they never fit the mold of breeding or body types.

Hmmm, Rio was one of the best-built horses that ever came down the trail
in terms of balance and body type. I never personally had hands on
Cash, so can't speak for him. Likewise, 3/4 of Rio's pedigree literally
screamed endurance.
