[RC] 1st or 2nd cutting - kathy swigart

Snaron said:

If you were feeding grass hay (timothy/brome to be
specific), and if you could pay the same amount regardless
?of 1st or 2nd crop, and if your horse was an easy keeper
?with no history of founder, which crop would you feed?

It is important to be aware that which cutting of hay is the best horse feed is
very much a function of the climate in which it was grown and how/when it was
cut.? So the answers you get from people in different places may not apply to
your specific situation.

The best people to ask would be your local Ag agents (assuming the hay is being
grown locally).
