[RC] Renegade Ice Boots - Naomi Preston

Here's the scoop on Renegades, guys.  They are ONLY to be sold by trained hoof practitioners, who understand the barefoot horse.  They aren't sold "off the shelf" without consultation with a hoof practitioner.   This is because the fitting of these boots (regular Renegades and the Ice Boots) is critically important.  This usually involves a personal visit from a hoof practitioner that is experienced barefoot trimmer.  You ask why?  Well, the Renegade company got burned by someone selling the boots without helping people with proper fit, and there were lots of unhappy customers out there -- tons.  If these boots aren't fitted properly, you will have less than positive results.

Lee Pearce, is authorized by the Renegade company to sell the boots on the internet.  Why?  He is an experienced barefoot trimmer. He also has an excellent reputation for working closely with riders to determine the proper fit of the boots for their horses.  This is done through digital pics of the horses feet, measurements, etc.  Also, Lee works closely with riders once they receive their boots, and helps walk them through how to adjust the Renegades.  This can involve multiple emails, phone calls, etc.  Tons of customer service from a knowledgeable hoof practitioner.  And providing warranty service if there is a need.

The Renegade company's website is hard to navigate for a reason.  They would prefer that you buy the boots from a hoof practitioner, who has the time to spend with you on sizing, fitting, and helping you with any problems you might have.  They are a small, family run business that is working really hard just to keep up with demand, due to their outstanding  product.

Isn't it a nice concept these days to have a knowledgeable person you can call on the phone and ask questions about a product you bought?  Yes, a hoof practitioner's price will be slightly higher, BUT, you can be assured that you will have great assistance getting the best fit for your horse, and excellent customer service when you pick up the phone.
