Re: [RC] OT-Santa Barbara Fire - Carrie Kitley

I volunteered today at the Festival and it was a bit slow as far as attendance.  I don't know if that is because of the fire or being a Friday.  I have tickets for tomorrow, so I'll see if there's a huge difference, being a Saturday.
The entire parking lot was full of Fire Trucks today.  Apparently, they made the showgrounds their Command Post.  Otherwise, it would have been painfully quiet there.  lol

We now have a fire in San Luis Obispo. These winds are going to cause problems all weekend. Hope it doesn't ruin the Trailblazer Festival.

I heard on the local radio that the Riviera area is threatened and that they have evacuated.

Here is another GREAT site!  It includes forums for Firefighters to blog and
post current info.  Updates are "on scene" and much faster than the
official sites.
http://www.wildlandfire.com/

There are also helpful links to other sites with current info like
http://www.montecitofire.com/
which is the Montecito Fire Protection District website.

On wildlandfire.com, go to "Hotlist Forum"
Sample from the "Questions Relating to Fire Activity" forum:
