RE: [RC] Diatomaceous Earth for worming? - Karen Standefer

I got on this kick back in 2000/2001 when I started the barefoot hoof thing.  A year later my horse was colicking every few months (not serious colics, just enough to alarm).  Had the vet out to check him out and he had a really bad  encysted strongyle infection.  Went back to conventional worming methods REALLY fast!

Subject: [RC] Diatomaceous Earth for worming?

Does anyone use diatomaceous earth for worming, rather than using chemicals?  If so, how much do you give, how often, etc?  Thanks
