[RC] Livermore horses killed. - veronica dern

Two horses shot and killed in Livermore Ca, my old stomping grounds.
Very sad,
Keri
PS Cindy did you know these horses?

Thank you for all of your emails, phone calls, and support. Mom spoke with the police officer this morning and he said that this was one of the worst crimes he has experienced in 25 years. Having seen Choctaw and Lucky dead first hand with the bullet wounds, it's an image I personally will live with the rest of my life.

With all of your help, we were fortunate to get great news coverage last night that we hope will generate a lead. At the end of this email are the links to ABC7, CBS5, KTVU2, KGO Radio, and Tri Valley Herald's news reports.

There are 2 additional attempts that we are trying to see if we can generate any leads, and we are asking for your help. First, there are a number of businesses along the south end of Collier Canyon Rd and North Canyon Blvd near the Las Positas exit in Livermore that may have security cameras that point to these roads. We have already contacted Costco and Las Positas College. Unfortunately, their cameras don't point to the road. Should you have any contacts with a business in this area, we would appreciate any contacts. Secondly, this is not the first time that there have been shootings in the area. We spoke with a number of local ranchers and families that have had livestock killed or had someone shoot at their property. We feel this needs to be escalated, and would appreciate a face-to-face meeting with the local politicians such as the Mayor of Livermore or any other local representative to get more coverage. If you have such a connection, we would appreciate an introduction or contact.

Thanks again for all your support.
