RE: [RC] Advice on a stallion wanted now overbreeding - JessicaI want to breed because I want a foal from this particular mare. I have owned her for many years. The resulting foal would have a forever home with me. Yes there are many free and cheap horses out there but there are none from my mare. This is a carefully thought out decision on my part. As for responsible breeding, I was setting up a Morab breeding operation when I saw the market for horses sliding so I found forever homes for all but this mare and gelded my very lovely stallion. He is in a wonderful home also. These were very high quality horses but rather than add to overpopulation I didn't hesitate to cancel my dream of owning a breeding farm. So please if I want to breed my mare for a foal for my own purposes, let me do so without any lectures.
