[RC] Spooky Horses - Donna J. Coss

If one is searching for a quiet, steady endurance mount, I would urge
you to look for SHAGYA ARABIAN blood. The breed as been
developed from 200 years of pure Arabian breeding. The ruthless culling
has produced a breed with a brain that I swear, is wired differently!

And most Shagya breeders will testify to this also. The breed is generally
just easier to deal with from the beginning of their training. They are people
horses and very hard working and willing to please.

This breed deserves more attention from the endurance world as they
offer many positives for the sport. Yes, they are rare, but if you love
Arabians, but want more substance, more steadiness and a companion for
life, seek out a SHAGYA.

We need more breeders and as more horses are produced, the prices will stabilize.
Right now, much expense has been paid to import good European stock and
this has been a plus for the breed.

Remember SHAGYA ARE GOOD SPORTS!
