Re: [RC] [RC] Internet Dialogue/Howard - Soli Sorokin

If he wants to come back, I fully support his return. I've been a
member of Ridecamp over 10 years, probably closer to 12, and there are
only two people whom I ALWAYS read during all that time...that's
Howard and Tom Ivers. Many of you I frequently read (Truman,
Garlinghouse), but those two I always read. Notice that "read" does
not equal "agree with."

But to Ridecamp in general...a lot of us, myself included, owe a huge thanks to.

Lurking on Ridecamp got me through my first 50 at the Blue Bonnet in
Texas some 10 years ago. It also helped teach me to raise and
condition a young prospect and start him successfully at the OD 25
four years later - with every bit of work, training, conditioning,
done myself. Had I had more time, I could have done more - I had great
horses, but poor amounts of free time. But for someone who worked
full time, single, with horses - at the time, just completing those
few rides were a huge accomplishment.

I'd have never done any of it without Ridecamp, and certainly not be
trying to do it again with gaited horses now that I have the time.
The stories, the experts, the sarcastic, and even the newbies all have
something to offer a person who really wants to learn.

Me too. I found Howard's rambles a whole lot more entertaining than long
threads about whether LD is endurance.
